Scientist in Materials Analysis within our R&D team at Newark, Delaware. The successful candidate will assist the R&D team to develop, characterize and mass-produce nanomaterials, nanocomposites and carbon related materials, also to manage and improve the current facilities in the company. Each candidate must have a strong technical background and communication, interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to achieving results with an interdisciplinary project team. 
Responsibilities: 
Transfer analysis results to both R&D lab and manufacturing sites; Provide technical maintenance for existing analysis facilities; Work closely with R&D team to ensure the efficient analysis.
Required Skills 
Ph.D. in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering or Physics with experience in nanomaterials, nanocomposites, graphene, carbon nanotube, battery or any other new energy-nanomaterials; Materials characterization experience with microscopies (SEM, TEM and AFM) and mechanical or electrical properties (Multifunctional Instron tensile test machine, DMA, DSC); The candidate needs to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and have the ability to deliver results in multiple areas; Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills: It is strongly desired that the individual have industrial experience in nanomaterial process development from laboratory to pilot plant scale.

The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials with experience in nanomaterials, nanocomposites, graphene, carbon nanotube, battery or any other new energy/nanomaterial. The candidate must have a very strong technical background and communication, interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to achieving results with an interdisciplinary project team.
Responsibilities

Optimize new and existing chemical manufacturing processes; Implement project strategy, timelines, resource allocation and status communication; Execute laboratory scale studies focused on chemical manufacturing processes; Transfer results to manufacturing sites for scale-up studies; Support final implementation and maintenance; Provide technical support for existing manufacturing facilities; Work closely with R&D team to ensure the safe and effective operation of chemical production facilities.
Qualifications and Required Skills
